Privacy Policy

Introduction

ConnectChief.com and trustSYSTEM (hereinafter referred to as ConnectChief, we, or us) value your privacy. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting ConnectChief.com, trust.connectchief.com, or using our mobile apps, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

Our products include the ConnectChief platform and trustSYSTEM (customer review and reputation management for businesses), including optional integrations with third-party services such as Google / YouTube.

Google user data (summary): If you connect YouTube through trustSYSTEM, we will use your Google user data to provide the YouTube connection and video-review publishing services you requested. We retain Google OAuth tokens and YouTube channel linkage only while your connection is active. When you disconnect, revoke access, or close your account, we delete or destroy that Google user data within 30 days. We will not sell your Google user data to third parties. You may request deletion at any time by disconnecting in trustSYSTEM, revoking access in your Google Account, or emailing [email protected]. Full details are in How our application uses Google user data, Data Retention of Google User Data, and Data Deletion of Google User Data below.

Google User Data (YouTube Connection)

This section describes how trustSYSTEM (the application) and ConnectChief (the organization responsible for development) access, use, store, share, protect, retain, and delete Google user data when a business owner connects a Google account to enable YouTube publishing. This applies to OAuth authorization through Google and use of the YouTube Data API v3.

Google APIs and permissions we request

When you choose to connect YouTube, we request the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly — to read your YouTube channel information (for example, channel ID, channel name, and channel URL) so we can link your business account to the correct YouTube channel and show connection status in your dashboard.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — to upload video content to your connected YouTube channel when you enable YouTube publishing for customer video reviews submitted through trustSYSTEM.

What Google user data is accessed by our application

Our application will access the Google user data you authorize us to receive when you connect YouTube in trustSYSTEM. We may collect, or process on behalf of our customers, the following categories of Google user data when you use or interact with the YouTube connection features:

  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Google for your connected account
  • YouTube channel information, including channel ID, channel title, and channel URL
  • YouTube upload capability used to publish video review content you choose to send to your connected channel

How our application uses Google user data

We will use your Google user data to provide you with the services you requested — specifically, to connect your YouTube channel to trustSYSTEM and to publish customer video reviews to that channel when you enable YouTube publishing.

How we use each category of Google user data:

  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens — We use these tokens solely to authenticate API requests to Google / YouTube on your behalf and to refresh access when tokens expire, so the YouTube connection and publishing features continue to work.
  • YouTube channel information (channel ID, channel title, channel URL) — We use this data to associate your trustSYSTEM business account with the correct YouTube channel, to show connection status in your dashboard, and to route uploads to the channel you connected.
  • Video uploads — When a customer submits a video review and your business has YouTube publishing enabled, we use the upload permission you granted to upload that video to your connected YouTube channel as part of the review-publishing service you requested.

We will not sell your Google user data to third parties, but we may share it with service providers who help us provide our services (for example, hosting and infrastructure), under contractual obligations consistent with this Notice and Google's Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features of trustSYSTEM that you request (YouTube connection and publishing).

We do not use Google user data for any of the following prohibited purposes:

  • Targeted advertising, personalized advertisements, retargeted advertisements, interest-based advertisements, or user advertisements
  • Selling Google user data to data brokers or providing it to information resellers
  • Determining credit-worthiness or lending purposes
  • Creating databases unrelated to the YouTube features described above
  • Training non-personalized AI and/or ML models, or training generalized machine-learning or artificial intelligence models

With whom we share, transfer, or disclose Google user data

We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to third parties for purposes other than the ones provided in this Privacy Notice — namely, operating the YouTube connection and publishing features you requested.

  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We may share Google user data with infrastructure and hosting providers that process data solely to help us operate trustSYSTEM, under contracts that require confidentiality and limited use consistent with this Notice and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, credit or lending decisions, or AI/ML model training.

How we protect Google user data

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your Google user data. We use encryption to protect your information, including encrypting Google OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens at rest, and using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / TLS to protect data in transit.

Limited Use and Google API Services User Data Policy

ConnectChief's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only as described in this Privacy Notice and only to provide or improve user-facing features that you request (YouTube connection and publishing). We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train non-personalized AI and/or ML models.

Data Retention of Google User Data

We retain Google user data for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy — specifically, to maintain your YouTube connection and to publish video reviews to your channel when you enable that feature — unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We store Google user data for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes for the trustSYSTEM YouTube integration. The following retention periods apply to Google user data obtained through Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API:

Google user data typeRetention period
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokensRetained while your YouTube connection is active; deleted within 30 days after disconnect, revocation, or account closure
YouTube channel ID, channel title, and channel URLRetained while your YouTube connection is active; deleted within 30 days after disconnect, revocation, or account closure
Temporary upload processing dataRetained only as long as needed to complete the upload; not kept beyond processing except as part of your trustSYSTEM review records
Videos on YouTubeRemain on YouTube under your Google account; governed by YouTube's retention policies, not stored separately by ConnectChief after upload completes

When the data retention period expires for a given type of Google user data, we will delete or destroy it from our systems (including encrypted token storage and channel linkage records), except where we are legally required to retain specific records for a longer period.

Data Deletion of Google User Data

You may request that your Google user data be deleted at any time. ConnectChief will delete or destroy Google user data we store when you disconnect YouTube, revoke our access, delete your trustSYSTEM business account, or submit a deletion request to us.

You may request for your data to be deleted by any of the following methods:

  1. Disconnect YouTube in trustSYSTEM — Remove or disconnect the YouTube connection from your trustSYSTEM business dashboard (Business Analytics / social connections, or the YouTube connect flow at trust.connectchief.com). This triggers deletion of stored OAuth tokens and channel linkage for that business.
  2. Revoke access in your Google Account — Sign in at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, select trustSYSTEM (or the app name shown on the Google consent screen), and choose Remove access / Disconnect. We will delete stored tokens on our next sync or within 30 days.
  3. Email a deletion request — Send email to [email protected] with the subject line Google user data deletion request. Include your business name and the email address on your trustSYSTEM account. We will confirm when your Google user data has been deleted from our systems.
  4. Delete your trustSYSTEM business account — Contact [email protected] to request account closure; associated Google user data will be deleted or destroyed within 30 days.

After you disconnect, revoke access, or we complete your deletion request, we will delete or destroy Google user data (OAuth tokens, refresh tokens, and YouTube channel linkage) from our production systems within 30 days. We will not access Google APIs with your tokens after deletion is processed, except as reasonably necessary to complete the deletion itself or comply with applicable law.

If you have questions about retention or deletion of Google user data, contact [email protected].
